President Rodrigo Duterte paid tribute to the soldiers for his or her bravery on the forefront of the battle in Marawi City

“I pray that you will survive, all of you. And I’m very sad to have lost several of my soldiers and policemen. You have my, my… I feel your grief,” stated Duterte in an handle to the 603rd Brigade in Sultan Kudarat,

In a uncommon transfer, Duterte determined to learn a ready speech as a result of the phrases absolutely conveyed his reward and gratitude for the soldiers.

“It is my honor to express our deepest admiration and gratitude [to] your fallen and wounded comrades who selflessly put their lives on the line to keep our country safe and strong. The country and people are forever grateful to our brave soldiers who left their families and the comforts of their homes to defend our sovereignty and uphold the Constitution,” stated Duterte.

Duterte stated he believed that the navy may have worn out the ISIS-backed forces in Marawi in only a couple of days since they took over in May 23 if not for the federal government’s concern for harmless lives and property that woudl be destroyed in an all-out assault. (Duterte is focusing on to finish the siege on June 12).
