President Rodrigo Duterte has questioned once more the manhood of Senator Antonio Trillanes IV after the previous Magdalo chief broadened corruption allegations in opposition to him to embody his son and son-in-law.
“Hindi ‘yung kanila na mag-revolt-revolt ng mutiny, pagdating naman ng pulis, sinampal pa ni Vargas itong si Trillanes. Wala namang nagawa, nag-surrender. Tapos sabihin mo, matapang ka. Susmaryosep. Trillanes, mahiya ka naman sa sarili mo. Hindi ko na lang patulan,” mentioned Duterte in a speech in the course of the oath-taking of star-ranked police officers in Malacanang on Wednesday.
Duterte was referring to the Manila Peninsula siege ten years in the past by Trillanes and the Magdalo mutineers.
Last February, Duterte mentioned: “May mutiny-mutiny ka pa wala ka naman palang bayag. Taas agad ang kamay pagdating ng pulis. Nakakahiya ka sa totoo lang,” the President mentioned.
Duterte made the comment a day after Trillanes included Duterte’s son-in-law, abogado Mans Carpio, husband of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, as half of the “Davao Group” which runs a smuggling operation on the Bureau of Customs. Trillanes had earlier accused Duterte’s son, Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte because the brains behind the Davao Group smuggling operations.
Duterte hasn’t forgotten Trillanes’ expose in the final week of the 2016 marketing campaign in which Trillanes claimed he had P211 million in undisclosed deposits on the Julia Vargas-Ortigas department of Bank of the Philippine Islands.
“Itong Trillanes na bugok. Sabi ko, ‘Sige, hanapin ninyo’. Kalkalin mo ‘yung Rural Bank of Kidapawan. Baka dun nakadeposito,” mentioned Duterte.
Duterte mentioned he has no respect for Trillanes and his ilk.
“Yung mga ganon na style. But tayo, trabaho lang. Alam mo, sa kanila, they are incapable of absorbing that idea na may mga tao na iba sa kanila. May mga tao na ang prinsipyo, inilalagay sa pwesto,” mentioned Duterte.
