Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero on Thursday (June 29) stated there’s nothing improper with President Duterte’s choice to minimize his public appearances, as lengthy as Malacanang was candid about his location.
Magreport man sya sa Malacanang once a week or every other week, basta nagagawa nya ‘yung tungkulin nya kaugnay sa pagpirma ng papeles, pagdesisyon sa mga bagay-bagay na wala namang dahilan para mag report sya sa iisang opisina lang araw-araw,” he stated in a information discussion board on the Senate.
But what Malacanang should not evade was media’s query on the place the President was killing time.
“They should volunteer it actually but nasa kanila ‘yun. Pero pag may nagtanong at may nanghingi, obligasyon nilang ibigay ‘yun (information),” he added.
Escudero stated it was excessive time that the general public begin getting used to Duterte’s persona.
Unlike his predecessors, Escudero stated Duterte was “somebody who doesn’t wish to be confined to his workplace.
The senator stated it was apparent that Duterte has but to recover from his outdated habits mayor of Davao City the place he would roam it’s roads, typically anonymously to his constituents.
