To deal with the plight of mall gross sales personnel who’ve to face all day, the Department of Labor and Employment is engaged on an administrative order giving them rest periods.
DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III mentioned a DOLE technical working group will meet on Tuesday, Aug. 15, to attract up suggestions for the order.
“Hindi lang alisin yung requirement of high heels, we should also allow our salesgirls and security guards and other male workers some rest time,” Bello mentioned.
Initially, he mentioned they’re contemplating a rest time of 5 to 10 minutes for each hour salesgirls or personnel are required to face.
Last week, Bello ordered the DOLE’s Occupational Safety and Health Center, Bureau of Working Conditions and Bureau of Special Working Concerns deal with the plight of salesladies sporting high-heel footwear and rest periods for mall staff.
