Vice President Leni Robredo is hoping she may visit the city of Jinjiang in Fujian, China throughout her time period as a means of exhibiting gratitude to the household of her late husband, Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo.
In a speech earlier than a Filipino-Chinese affiliation in Naga City Saturday (July 29), Robredo shared that Jesse’s family in Jinjiang went to nice lengths to have a good time when she gained within the 2016 elections.
“Alam niyo po nung nanalo ako bilang Pangalawang Pangulo, nagkaroon sila ng mini parade, there was dancing in the streets, may mga swimmers sila, congratulating Leni Lim as the ‘new Vice President of the Philippines,’” she mentioned.
Robredo mentioned she noticed the gesture and the following invitation for her to visit Jinjiang as a means “to be welcomed to the family.”
