President Rodrigo Duterte sought to attraction troopers anew when he visited members of the 602nd Infantry Brigade in North Cotabato Tuesday (June 6).

In his speech, Duterte appealed to troopers to let him end his time period alive.

“Congratulations on your achievement and I am sure the Republic of the Philippines, ako pa naman ang Presidente. Kaya buhayin ninyo ako ng ano, five years,” he mentioned.

“Eh baka i-coup d’état niyo ako tapos itapon ninyo ako sa isang kanto, eh ‘di naloko na,” he added.

In a speech in Cebu over the weekend, Duterte discouraged troopers from staging a coup in opposition to him, saying he’s keen to step down from his post.

He mentioned the navy can take over the federal government instantly since he has already appointed a number of former police and navy officers to key posts.
