The revival of narcotics on the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) has pushed Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director Benjamin Delos Santos again to retirement.

“The issue about the resurgence of drug trade has made me irrelevant,” stated Delos Santos, who had been an official of the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) earlier than retiring with the rank of chief superintendent.

“My irrevocable resignation effective immediately was filed thru Secretary of Justice Vitaliano Aguirre II,” he stated.

Delos Santos has determined to maintain mum from making any extra feedback about his resignation.

“I will refrain from further comments and take the vow of silence,” he stated.

Delos Santos who was appointed to his post in November 2016 graduated from San Beda College of Law and is a fraternity brother of Aguirre and President Duterte on the Lex Talionis Fraternity.
