Senator Sonny Angara couldn’t care much less about Sen. Antonio “Sonny” Trillanes IV’s claims that administration senators have been merely “puppets” in Malacanang’s rubber stamp Senate.

“I didn’t feel alluded to,” he stated when requested on Trillanes’ current rant in opposition to his friends within the Senate.

Angara stated he really “confronted” Trillanes concerning the situation after they ran into one another throughout the current birthday celebration of former Vice President Teofisto “Tito” Guingona Jr.

“Sabi ko ‘idol ako ba yung sinasabi mo?’ Sabi nya ‘hindi hindi’ so sabi nya hindi naman daw,” he stated.

But when requested if it ought to advantage an investigation or potential sanction in opposition to Trillanes by subjecting him to a scrutiny by the Senate ethics and privileges committee for his alleged unparliamentary acts and language, Angara stated he’d go away the matter to his colleagues.

“Sa akin, let go, pabayaan na lang. Baka sa galit lang nya yun. Baka bad day (that day),” he stated.

“Kanya kanya kaming pananaw dito eh. We are 24 sneators. We are independent (senators). If he wants to insult his colleagues that’s up to him. Pero sa akin I respect the call of my colleagues. Naniniwala ako na kanya kanyang pananaw ang Senado at kung kami ay puppet lang at rubberstamp eh magsara na kami wag na kaming mag hearing. Eh bat pa kami nag he-hearing?” Angara added.
