Communications Secretary Martin Andanar was pressured to concern a memo to all staff beneath his workplace after a haphazardly despatched tweet turned an object of ridicule on our on-line world.

Andanar needed to remind the employees of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) to be “more circumspect and diligent” in dealing with their official social media accounts due to the “fafda” tweet despatched earlier within the day.

Andanar stated the letter salad “fafda” was tweeted by one Angel Abella at 1:07 p.m. Friday (August 18).

In his memo, the Communications Secretary stated the tweet “caused yet another unnecessary public attention.”

“In view thereof, and to prevent any future similar incidents, all members of the OSEC-MEDIA team… are hereby directed to be more circumspect and diligent in handling the official social media accounts of the PCOO,” Andanar stated.

He warned that comparable incidents sooner or later “shall be dealt seriously.”

The “fafda” tweet turned a source of amusement for netizens, who tried to guess what it meant.

Edwin Lacierda, former President Benigno Aquino III’s spokesperson, joked that “fafda” is the identify of the “magic dragon” within the youngsters’s track.
