Five folks have been injured when an ambulance carrying a pregnant lady was hit by a train in Manila at this time (Friday, July 7).

The injured, who have been all aboard the ambulance, have been taken to Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center for remedy.

The driver of the ambulance has been recognized as Jaime Pagas, aged 41, who suffered a punctured lung within the smash. The different victims have been Perla Vizcaya, Sally Marcelo and Eduardo Marcelo.

The pregnant lady, Marilou Vallas, 35, later gave delivery on the hospital.

Police stated the ambulance of Barangay 167 of Caloocan City was heading north and crossing the railroad on Blumentritt Street, Rizal Avenue at three.45pm when it was struck by an Alabang-bound  train.

Eyewitnesses informed The Inquirer that trikes had slowed down the ambulance, which was sounding its siren, trapping it on the tracks when the crossing gate closed.

The power of the collision was such that each one 5 passengers have been thrown from the car.

The Manila Traffic Bureau is investigating the incident.
