House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez has expressed his assist relating to requires the resignation of Bureau of Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon amid the controversy relating to the seizure of P6.Four-billion price of shabu.

“Well, I support the call of resignation na sinabi kanina ni Chairman Ace Barbers dahil po kung ako ang nasa posisyon na iyon ay talaga namang kung meron pa akong konting hiya na natitira ay talagang magreresign ako,” Alvarez informed reporters Tuesday (August 1).

Barbers urged Faeldon to resign because the House committee on harmful medicine which he chairs is investigating how P6.Four billion price of shabu managed to slip previous the BOC’s categorical lane final May.

The contraband shipment was seized at a warehouse in Valenzuela City.

Asked if the seizure of the unlawful medicine cargo exhibits the incompetence of Faeldon, Alvarez stated: “Grossly incompetent, hindi lang po incompetent.”
