Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II has vowed to present financial assistance to wounded soldiers in addition to to the households of those that died from fighting the Maute terrorist group in Marawi City.

“We cannot thank our soldiers enough for their bravery and gallant acts in the defense of our people in Marawi City. This is least we can do for them,” stated Aguirre in an announcement.

Aguirre on Monday (June 12) went to Camp Evangelista Army Hospital in Cagayan De Oro City to go to the wounded soldiers.

The Secretary informed the soldiers he’ll look into the potential financial assistance from the Board of Claims for these both received wounded or killed in motion in Marawi City.

For this goal, Aguirre stated he has already instructed Justice Undersecretary Reynante Orceo, who’s charge of the Board of Claims, to decide how finest to course of the potential claims of the soldiers and of their households.
