Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II has ordered the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to find out who helped self-confessed Davao Death Squad (DDS) member, retired policeman Arturo Lascanas, slip out of the Philippines.

Aguirre gave the directive to NBI Director Danter Gierran below Department Order No. 396 dated June 13.

In his order, Aguirre stated that the NBI is “directed and granted authority to conduct investigation and case build-up as to who harbored, financed and facilitated the flight of SPO3 Arthur Lascanas (ret.) out of the country.”

The Secretary defined in a press release he ordered the probe to know “any individual who harbored, financed, or facilitaed the flight of SPO3 Lascanas out of the nation.

“That person might also be held liable for Obstruction of Justice,” stated Aguirre.

Lascanas left the nation for Singapore the place he’s believed staying along with his household.

The retired policeman claimed as a DDS member he performed hits upon the orders of former Davao City mayor and now President Rodrigo Duterte.
