Justice Sectretary Vitaliano Aguirre II has began airlifting equipment and provides for displaced prosecutors of Marawi City.
“We are thankful that our prosecutors from Marawi City are safe,” Aguirre mentioned in an announcement.
“We need to provide them with all that we can to help them start serving the people again,” he identified.
He mentioned a C-130 aircraft carrying provides and equipment from the Department of Justice (DOJ) left Friday, May three, for Laguindingan Airport in Misamis Oriental.
From Misamis Oriental, the provides and equipment shall be delivered to Iligan City the place the Marawi prosecutors shall be holding short-term workplace because the Maute terrorist group continues to occupy Marawi City.
“Justice is a 24/7 commitment of the DOJ. The airlift of equipment and supplies to our prosecutors is our way of ensuring that we honor that commitment,” he said.
