Malacañang sees nothing mistaken with the reinstatement of Superintendent Marvin Marcos because the administrative case filed in opposition to him in reference to the killing of Albuera, Leyte mayor Rolando Espinosa was resolved in his favor.
Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella on Thursday (July 13) mentioned at least Philippine National Police chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa confirmed the favorable results of the executive case proceedings in opposition to Marcos and 18 different policemen.
“The President respects and abides by the rule of law. Police superintendent Marvin Marcos has served his suspension and is eligible to be back to duty,” he mentioned in a press release.
Abella mentioned the Palace is leaving it as much as the PNP’s Internal Affairs Service to clarify its determination on the executive case involving Marcos, though the result could be appealed to the National Police Commission (Napolcom).
Marcos, who used to move the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Region eight, has been appointed as head of the CIDG-SOCCKSARGEN efficient July 11.
Last month, the Department of Justice downgraded the charges in opposition to Marcos and 18 others tagged in Espinosa’s killing from homicide to murder.
