President Rodrigo Duterte is bent on persevering with the struggle on medication regardless of lapses which have led to the death of not less than one teenager.
In a speech in Davao City Saturday (September 16), Duterte stated he’ll proceed going after the “organization” liable for the drug commerce within the nation.
Addressing his critics, the President stated: “Ako basta ‘yan. Either you accept it as a fact of your life now, today or you will die of exasperation, or you can kill me if you want.”
“Feel free to do it basta wala tayong atrasan dito. I will not — I will not be remembered as the President in whose time the Philippines went to the dogs because of drugs. Hindi ko kayang tanggapin ‘yan,” he added.
The administration’s anti-narcotics marketing campaign has come underneath renewed scrutiny following the death of 17-year-old Kian Loyd Delos Santos in a police operation.
Duterte has assured Delos Santos’ mother and father that he’ll carry the perpetrators behind his killing to justice.
