Senator Bam Aquino has opposed the coverage of Philippine National Police (PNP) to ship “delinquent cops” to Mindanao supposedly as punishment.

He stated that erring policemen should be fired and not simply reassigned and despatched to Mindanao supposedly to self-discipline them akin to within the case of Police Officer 1 Jose Julius Tandog and PO1 Chito Enriquez.

Aquino rejected the transfer of PNP chief Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa to merely ship to Marawi Tandog and Enriquez. Tandog was caught in a video hitting, utilizing a “yantok” nightstick, two males they arrested for consuming on the sidewalk. Enriquez, alternatively, merely watched whereas his colleague was hitting the victims.

“It is important that the people have trust in our policemen, specially those assigned in Mindanao where there is martial law and there is threat of terrorism. We should send our best and brightest, not those who abuse their power,” Aquino stated.

“Napakahalaga na may tiwala ang tao sa pulis, lalong lalo na sa Mindanao kung saan may martial law at banta ng terorismo. We should send our best and brightest, not those who abuse their power,” he stated.

Aquino added, “Ang mga pulis na nang-aagrabyado ng taumbayan at gumagawa ng katiwalian ay dapat managot at matanggal sa puwesto. Marami sa mga pulis na nagtatrabaho nang maayos ang nadadamay sa kanilang ginagawang kapalpakan.”
